Lima, August 2026. Austral Group was recognized with the Sustainable Management Company (EGS) Distinction for the 2025 edition, awarded by Perú Sostenible. The company achieved its highest score ever in its eleventh participation in the distinction, improving by more than 11 points compared to the previous evaluation, thus consolidating a sustained track record in incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into its management and operations.

“Receiving this recognition for another year reflects our commitment to integrating sustainability into our management and each of our operations. It motivates us to continue strengthening sustainable, responsible, and efficient fishing practices that generate value for our stakeholders and contribute to the country's development,” said Adriana Giudice, CEO of Austral Group.

As part of the evaluation, the company achieved above-average results among participating companies in all four dimensions analyzed: Business Model and Innovation, Social, Governance, and Environmental. Among the best-rated aspects were environmental management, product quality, ethics and integrity, respect for human rights, good labor practices, and responsible supply chain management.

This performance reflects Austral Group's commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement of ESG management in recent years, allowing it to achieve the Merit category in the 2025 edition of the Sustainable Management Company Distinction.

Sustainable assessment with a specific focus on fisheries

The 2025 edition of the EGS questionnaire incorporated specialized guidance for the fisheries sector, within an assessment encompassing more than 25 industries. It also strengthened its alignment with the global IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) S1 and S2 standards, related to the disclosure of information on sustainability and climate.

“This recognition also allows us to identify new opportunities and challenges to continue evolving as an organization. We look to the future with the conviction that collaboration, innovation, and a long-term vision will be key to facing the challenges of the industry and continuing to generate a positive impact in the country,” Giudice concluded.
