Lima, August 2025. – In line with its commitment to innovation and operating with environmental responsibility, the fishing company Austral Group announced the incorporation of the fishing vessel (EP) "Adriana," from Norway, designed to the highest international standards of technology, safety, and sustainability.

The vessel has a cargo capacity of 508 m³ and enough living space for 16 crew members. Its design eliminates the need for a skiff for fishing operations, improving fishing efficiency.

“Estamos muy orgullosos de sumar esta nave a nuestra flota. La EP Adriana representa un paso más en nuestra apuesta por una pesca responsable, eficiente y segura. No solo fortalece nuestra capacidad operativa, sino que reafirma nuestro compromiso con el desarrollo tecnológico y el cuidado del medio ambiente”, destacó la gerente general de Austral Group, Adriana Giudice.

The executive explained that the vessel completed a 42-day voyage to reach Peru and will operate primarily in anchovy fishing, with future capacity for horse mackerel and mackerel. The investment amounts to US$10 million and reflects the company's strategic decision to have a state-of-the-art fleet.

Environmental commitment

Giudice noted that one of the vessel's most notable features is its seawater cooling system (RSW), which preserves the quality of the fish from the moment it's caught. It's also equipped with a fuel-efficient engine, which helps reduce its environmental footprint.

“The EP Adriana is part of a broader transformation we've been promoting at Austral: a modern fleet ready for the challenges of the future,” Giudice added.

With this addition, Austral Group's fleet now includes 19 vessels, 14 of which now have RSW systems. This advance consolidates the company's position as a benchmark for sustainable fishing in the country, contributing to the national economy and generating value through responsible and efficient practices.
